San Joaquin County <br /> Environmental Health Department <br /> 1868 East Hazelton Avenue, Stockton, California 95205-6232 <br /> Telephone:(209)468-3420 Fax:(209)468-3433 Web:www.sogov.org/ehd <br /> Small Quantity Hazardous Waste Generator Inspection Report <br /> Facility Name: Facility Address: Date: <br /> ZACKY&SONS POULTRY, LLC 1 1111 NAVY DR, STOCKTON November 16, 2018 <br /> SUMMARY OF VIOLATIONS <br /> (CLASS I,CLASS II,or MINOR-Notice to Comply) <br /> Item# Remarks <br /> In the Hallway above the Workshop, several flammable cabinets were observed full of chemicals. <br /> -Flammable cabinet 4 contained several boxes(full)of Rust-Oleum aerosol cans, a couple containers of ink and <br /> other various chemicals. <br /> -Flammable cabinet 5 contained several boxes(full)of Rust-Oleum aerosol cans, several 1 gallon paint containers <br /> and other various chemicals. <br /> -A flammable cabinet(near 4 and 5)contained multiple aerosol cans(over 10)and other various chemicals. <br /> -A flammable cabinet(near the above mentioned)contained at least three 1 gallon containers of Cryovac Rotary <br /> Valve Oil,ten 8 oz containers of Jax Food Grade Anti-Sieze and other various chemicals. <br /> In the Lab: <br /> -Two 4 liter containers of VWR International Alcohol Reagent(200 proof) <br /> -Three 1 gallon containers of Envirocide <br /> -Several containers labeled"waste from ffa"were observed in the acid/base cabinet cabinet <br /> -One black 5 gallon container of Methylene Chloride <br /> In the Electronics Room: <br /> -One 1 gallon container of Supreme Glass Cleaner, one 2 oz container of Rubber Rejuvenator, and one Sprayon <br /> aerosol can. <br /> In the Sanitizer Room: <br /> -Seven plastic 3 gallon containers of sanitizer were observed on a yellow pallet. Near the pallet, heavy white staining <br /> was observed on the ground. <br /> In the Flavor Storage Room: <br /> -One 5 gallon drip pan filled with waste Charsol Select 24PA was observed underneath a 275 gallon tote. <br /> Outside: <br /> -Near the brine tank, a salt compound was observed building up on the pipe and on the ground. <br /> -The salt compound was also observed in a cracked white 5 gallon plastic bucket. <br /> Near the Water Treatment Area: <br /> -A flammable cabinet was observed containing two red 5 gallon gasoline containers,three 1 gallon motor oil <br /> containers, one 3 gallon diesel container,three Rust-oleum aerosol cans and other various chemicals. <br /> -Two blue 55 gallon plastic drums containing BlueWater Treatment Chemical WWT CP53 <br /> -Praestol K 274 FLX Flocculant was observed on the ground. When asked how the material is cleaned up, the <br /> employee said he dilutes it with other chemicals. <br /> -Sludge waste from the water treatment <br /> Metal fines generated from a drill press are being recycled as scrap metal without first determining particle size or <br /> hazardous properties. Any person who generates a waste shall determine if the waste is a hazardous waste. <br /> Immediately stop recycling metal fines, make a hazardous waste determination for the metal waste, and manage it <br /> according to Title 22 hazardous waste regulations. Particles 100 microns or smaller must be handled as hazardous <br /> waste if the metal is determined to be a hazardous waste. <br /> Any person who generates a waste shall determine if the waste is a hazardous waste. Immediately, make a <br /> hazardous waste determination for every waste chemical in the plant, and manage them according to Title 22 <br /> hazardous waste regulations.
