If any waste is determined to not be a waste and is going to be auctioned off or used at another location, <br /> submit a statement explaining that. <br /> This is a minor violation. <br /> 301 CCR 66262.34(d)(2) Facility not maintained to minimize the release of a hazardous waste. <br /> In the battery Room: <br /> -Oily staining was observed on the ground. <br /> In the Workshop Room: <br /> -Oily staining was observed on the ground and on the workbench. <br /> Outside: <br /> -Oily staining was observed near the used oil tank. <br /> Facilities shall be maintained and operated to minimize the possibility of a fire, explosion,or release of hazardous <br /> waste to air, soil, or surface water which could threaten human health or the environment. Immediately clean the <br /> stains and manage according to Title 22 hazardous waste regulations. Submit a statement and supporting <br /> documentation explaining how this waste was managed. <br /> This is a repeat violation, Class II. <br /> 303 CCR 66262.34(d)(2) Failed to maintain all communication or alarm systems, spill control, or decontamination <br /> equipment. <br /> An oily liquid was observed in the secondary containment of the used oil tank. <br /> All facility communications or alarm systems,fire protection equipment, spill control equipment, and <br /> decontamination equipment,where required, shall be tested and maintained as necessary to assure its proper <br /> operation in time of emergency. Immediately clean the secondry containment begin this practice. <br /> This is a minor violation. <br /> 403 CCR 66262.34(d)(2) Failed to keep hazardous waste containers closed except when adding or removing hazardous <br /> waste. <br /> Near the used oil tank, one white 5 gallon plastic bucket containing used oil (3/4 full)was observed without a lid.All <br /> hazardous waste containers shall be closed at all times except when adding or removing waste. Immediately close <br /> these containers and ensure all hazardous waste containers are closed when not adding or removing waste. <br /> This is a minor violation. <br /> 406 CCR 66261.7 Contaminated container not marked with date emptied or managed within one year of being emptied. <br /> -Two empty blue 55 gallon steel drums were observed near the used oil tank. <br /> -Two empty 275 gallon plastic totes were observed near the brine area. <br /> Containers larger than five gallons that previously held a hazardous material shall be marked with the date they <br /> were emptied and managed within one year of being emptied.
