If the generator did not receive a copy of the manifest with the <br /> handwritten signature of the owner or operator of the facility to which the generator's waste was submitted within 35 <br /> days of the date the waste was accepted by the initial transporter, the generator shall contact the transporter and/or the <br /> owner or operator of the designated facility to determine the status of the waste. If the generator did not receive a copy <br /> of the signed off copy of the manifest within 45 days of the date that the waste was accepted by the initial transporter, <br /> the generator shall submit an Exception Report that includes a legible copy of the missing manifest, and a cover letter <br /> signed by the generator explaining the efforts to locate the hazardous waste and the results of those efforts. Exception <br /> reports shall be submitted to: <br /> DTSC Report Repository <br /> Generator Information Services Section <br /> P.O. Box 806 <br /> Sacramento, CA 95812-0806 <br /> Immediately locate a copy of the missing manifests or prepare and submit an exception report to DTSC. By [DATE,30 <br /> DAYS FROM NOWJ, submit to the EHD a copy of the signed off copy of the manifests or a copy of the exception report <br /> submitted to DTSC. This is a minor violation. <br /> 501 CCR 66265.192(a) Failed to comply with new hazardous waste tank system assessment requirements. <br /> Facility does not have a tank assessment for the 1000-gallon used oil tank. The owner or operator of a hazardous <br /> waste tank shall obtain a written assessment reviewed and certified by an independent, qualified, professional <br /> engineer, registered in California attesting that the system has sufficient structural integrity, is acceptable for the <br /> transferring, storing, and treating of hazardous waste, and that the tanks and containment system are suitably <br /> designed. Immediately have an assessment prepared for the 1000-gallon used oil tank. Submit a schedule showing <br /> when this will be accomplished to the EHD. This is a minor violation. <br /> Overall Inspection Comments: <br /> Complete and submit a copy of the Return to Compliance Certification form to the EHD with a statement <br /> documenting the corrective actions that have been or will be taken for each violation, and any supporting <br /> paperwork, by November 15, 2014. <br /> Consent to perform the inspection, take photos and collect samples was given by Rajinder Singh the business <br /> owner. Facility generated 20.8175 tons of hazardous waste from the truck repair operation in 2013. Rajinder has <br /> operated the same facility since 2011, but the business has become incorporated in August 2014. <br /> A Checklist Only was left on site on October 14, 2014, and the report generated on October 15, 2014 has since <br /> been revised: Violation #106 was removed since generator was able to complete the Contingency Plan, assigned <br /> emergency coordinator and alternative, and submitted document to CERS on site during this inspection. This <br /> Official Inspection Report supersedes all previous reports. <br /> Please be aware as of January 1, 2013, all businesses are required to submit all hazardous materials information <br /> online to the California Environmental Reporting System (CERS) at http://cers.calepa.ca.gov.
