INTRODUCTION <br /> This Site Safety Plan (SSP) was developed by E2C, Inc. for well drilling and soil <br /> and groundwater sampling at 820 South American Street in Stockton, <br /> ' California. The primary purpose of this SSP is to provide field personnel with an <br /> understanding of the potential chemical and physical hazards that exist or may <br /> develop during activities conducted at the site, and to provide information <br /> ' concerning emergency response in the event of a release of a hazardous <br /> substance(s) or of an accident involving a physical injury. <br /> The primary objective is to ensure the well-being of all individuals working at <br /> the site. In order to accomplish this objective, all individuals involved in <br /> ' activities at the site (excluding those involved in the temporary delivery of <br /> supplies and materials) shall read, acknowledge, and adhere to the policies and <br /> procedures established herein. All personnel assigned to the project under <br /> execution at the site will read this SSP and sign the Agreement and <br /> Acknowledgement Statement in Section X to certify that they have read, <br /> understood, and have agreed to abide by the provisions contained herein. <br /> A. Site Background <br /> Underground Storage Tanks (USTs) containing gasoline and diesel were <br /> removed from the subject site in 1989 and 1990. Soil and groundwater <br /> sampling revealed the presence of soil and groundwater impact in the area of <br /> ' the tanks. <br /> ' B. Project Description <br /> The proposed Scope of Work consists of the installation, development and <br /> sampling of one groundwater monitoring well. <br /> C. Amendments to Site Safety Plan <br /> Any change in the scope of this project, conditions at the site, or both, must be <br /> amended in writing on the SSP Amendment Sheet contained in this Plan. <br /> ' Changes to the plan must be approved by the Health and Safety Manager. <br /> tE2C, Inc.
