Telic also <br /> contacted agency personnel for information on additional sites that have been identified, but <br /> have not yet been placed on these lists, or if there are areas of potential environmental concern <br /> that may not be covered by the available lists. <br /> 5.3.1 Review of Published Regulatory Agency Lists <br /> As part of its assessment of whether there are areas that may pose potential <br /> environmental concerns relative to the site. Telic reviewed and evaluated the following <br /> regulatory agency lists: <br /> • U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) National Priorities List <br /> (NPL) for Uncontrolled Hazardous Waste Sites, July 1987 and June 1988 <br /> The NPL provides a list of federal Superfund sites. <br /> No businesses or properties on site or within the study area are on the NPL. <br /> • U.S. EPA Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and <br /> Liability Information System (CERCLIS), September 1989 <br /> CERCLIS provides information for businesses or properties that are in the federal <br /> Superfund Program. Under this program, a business or property is identified and a <br /> preliminary assessment performed to determine whether the site shall become a federal <br /> Superfund site. <br /> No properties on site or within the study area are listed on the CERCLIS. <br /> • Expenditure Plan for the Hazardous Substance Cleanup Bond Act of 1984 <br /> (State Bond Expenditure Plan), January 1989 <br /> The State Bond Expenditure Plan is compiled by the California Department of Health <br /> Services (DHS) and contains a list of identified hazardous waste sites in California that <br /> have been targeted for cleanup by responsible parties, the DHS, or the U.S. EPA within <br /> the next five fiscal years. <br /> No businesses or properties on site or within the study area are listed on the State <br /> Bond Expenditure Plan. <br /> • Hazardous Waste and Substance Site List (Cortese List), October 1988 <br /> 7 <br />
