171 <br />-WASTE DISCHARGE REQUnUSU aNTS <br />THE WINE GROUP <br />FRANZIA WIINERY, RIPON <br />SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY <br />0 <br />-3- <br />2, Discharge of domestic wastewater to the fields or to the Frinery producdon wastewater disposal <br />operations is protuUita <br />3.. Discharge of waste classified as 'hazardous' or'designated', as defined in Sections 2521(a)'and <br />2522(a) of Chapter 15, is prohibited <br />4. Discharge of wastewater at a rax that exceeds the agromomic needs of the grape vines is <br />prohibited. <br />B. Discharge Spe+ci£icatiow: <br />1. The Dischargers shall, maintain and operate the disposal facilities under an Operations and <br />Maintenance Plan approved by the Executive Officer, <br />2. The monthly average dry weather discharge flow shall not exceed 0.5 million gallons/day. <br />3. Objectionable odors originating at this facility shall not be peredvable beyoad the limits of the <br />wastewater treatment and disposal a.mas or property owned by the Discharger. <br />4. The wastewater distribution and irrigation systems shall be designed and operated to prevent <br />ponding or stagnation of wastewater prior to application to the viucyards. <br />5. The natment facilities shall be designed, constructed, operated, and maintained to prevent - <br />inundation or washout due to floods with a 104 -year return frequency. <br />�i. During the non -irrigating part of the year (Oct . Mar) wastewater sb2Z be completely evaporated <br />and/or percolated into the ground at the disposal field within 48 hours after wastewater appUcadon <br />to the field is -P rr -� <br />7. Evaporation and percolation methods shall be mimed to prevent breedip of mosquitos or <br />attraction of vectors. <br />a. Weeds shall be minimized through control of water depth or harvesting. <br />b. Dead algae, vegetation, and debris shall not accumulate oz the water surface, <br />8, The vineyard disposal areas shall have sufficient capacity to accommodate allowable wastewater <br />flow and design seasonal precipitation to prevent runoff during the noninigatiou season.
