One non-empty aerosol can was found in the trash next to the vacuum repair shop. Contaminated <br /> absorbent pads were found in the trash of the auto shop. Metal fines from the auto and metal shops are <br /> being recycled. The non-empty aerosol can and contaminated absorbent pads are being thrown in the <br /> trash and the metal fines are being recycled without first determining its hazardous properties. Any <br /> person who generates a waste shall determine if the waste is a hazardous waste. Immediately stop <br /> disposing of non-empty aerosol cans and contaminated absorbent pads in the trash. Stop recycling metal <br /> fines. Make a hazardous waste determination for these waste streams and manage them according to <br /> Title 22 hazardous waste regulations. Metal particles 100 microns or smaller must be handled as <br /> hazardous waste if the metal is determined to be a hazardous waste. Submit a statement and supporting <br /> documentation explaining how this waste was managed by October 3, 2013. <br /> 122, 123, & 705. Manifest number 007277964JJK was found without a signed off copy from the <br /> destination facility. Hazardous waste generators shall retain copies of all manifests signed off by the <br /> destination facility on site for three years and have them readily available for review. If the generator did <br /> not receive a copy of the manifest with the handwritten signature of the owner or operator of the facility to <br /> which the generator's waste was submitted within 60 days of the date the waste was accepted by the <br /> initial transporter, the generator shall submit a legible copy of the missing manifest, with some indication <br /> that the generator has not received confirmation of delivery.
