RECD JUL 2 4 2015 <br /> PACTIV <br /> Fonris�rnce/Food Packaging <br /> Pactiv Response: These fines have been cleaned up. The fines accumulated as part of the <br /> clean-up are being used as part of the waste characterization testing. In addition,this area <br /> has been included as part of our monthly waste inspection. <br /> Oily film was noted on the facility's floor adjacent to the satellite accumulation area. <br /> Pactiv Response: This area has been cleaned up and procedures have been put in place to <br /> mitigate future occurrences. In addition, this issue has been placed on a monthly inspection <br /> checklist.The waste generated during this clean-up was included with the other ink& oily <br /> solids, which is managed as a Non-RCRA, California Hazardous Waste. <br /> Large oily staining and some loose oil-saturated and dry absorbent were noted around the base <br /> of the outdoor Quincy Rotary Screw vacuum pump located in the compressor area. <br /> Pactiv Response: A professional environmental company was hired to clean the compressor <br /> area. The waste is currently staged on site and will be properly disposed of as a Non-RCRA <br /> California Hazardous Waste. <br /> 303 <br /> One eye wash/shower combo located adjacent to the battery charging station in the "cup" <br /> production area, and one eye wash/shower combo station in the OPMR area did not appear to <br /> be maintained, Mr. David Bauer indicated that they should have been inspected. <br /> Pactiv Response: All stations are now being checked and initialed. This has been added to a <br /> regular EHS inspection checklist. See photo in Attachment 7. <br /> Furthermore, standing oil and debris were noted inside the secondary containment in the <br /> satellite accumulation area. <br /> Pactiv Response: The oil and debris have been removed from the secondary containment <br /> area —see photo in Attachment 8. <br /> 403 <br /> One 55 gallon container with a "Simple Green"label containing 1-2 inches of grayish liquid, <br /> which according to Mr. Bauer was not 'Simple Green"lacked a cap. <br /> Pactiv Response:The Simple Green container did, in fact, contain Simple Green. This material <br /> is useable product and not a waste. <br /> One 5-gallon open container full of oil soaked absorbent pads was located adjacent to the <br /> leaking Quincy Rotary Screw Vacuum Pump noted in the previous violation. <br /> Pactiv Response: The 5 gallon container has been removed and the waste is being managed <br /> as part of the ink and oily solids waste stream. <br /> One open 55-gallon container overflowing with oil-soaked absorbent pads was located in the <br /> satellite accumulation area. <br />
