Violation 108 (a): Metal Fines <br /> Metal fines generated from the welding area were collected and analyzed. Based <br /> upon the results of the analysis, metal fines generated are not considered to be <br /> hazardous waste, i.e. all under reportable limits. A copy of the full analysis is <br /> attached. <br /> 2.) Violation 108 (b): Used Sand Blast Material/Spray Booth Filters <br /> Used sand blast media is presently being handled as a hazardous waste as the <br /> material collected through the bag house is collected into a 55-gallon drum of waste <br /> that is manifested upon disposal. To reinforce proper collection of floor sweepings, <br /> signs have been posted in the area instructing employees to place all floor sweepings <br /> from both the grit blast and sand blast operations into appropriately labeled collection <br /> containers for disposal as hazardous waste. <br /> Used filters from the spray booth have been sampled and submitted for analysis. <br /> Once a final determination has been made, filters will be disposed of accordingly. No <br /> filters will be disposed of until the analysis is reviewed. <br /> 3.) Violation 108 (c): (4)-55 Gallon Drums, etc. <br /> (4)-55 gallon drums of unknown material found in the southwest storage lot were <br /> determined to be steel grit waste. Drums have been labeled properly and stored with <br /> like material awaiting disposal. <br /> (2)-55 gallon drums, (1)-5 gallon drum and a storage bin of unknown material found <br /> near the east fence were also determined to be steel grit waste. Material from the <br /> smaller containers were combined into drums, labeled properly and stored with like <br /> material awaiting disposal. <br /> 4.) Violation 122/123/124: Manifests <br /> Manifest #'s 000277138CEX, 000893172SKS, 001706133SKS, 001876562SKS, <br /> 002079081 SKS and 002237221 SKS destination facility copies were all located and <br /> properly filed. Manifest #001916833SKS was also located and properly filed. Copies <br /> of all are attached. <br />
