Two 55 gallon drums, a five gallon bucket, and a storage bin of unknown material were left outside next the east fence by the railroad track. Any person who generates a waste shall determine if the waste is a hazardous waste. Immediately make a hazardous waste determination for the unknown material and manage them according to the Title 22 hazardous waste regulations. Submit a statement and supporting documentation explaining how this waste was managed by 4-9-12. 122, 123, & 124. Manifest numbers 000277138CEX, 000893172SKS, 001706133SKS, 001876562SKS, 002079081 SKS, and 002237221 SKS were found without a signed off copy from the destination facility. Manifest number 001916833SKS was not found on site. Hazardous waste generators shall retain copies of all manifests signed off by the destination facility on site for three years and have them readily available for review. If the generator did not receive a copy of the manifest with the handwritten signature of the owner or operator of the facility to which the generator's waste was submitted within 60 days of the date the waste was accepted by the initial transporter, the generator shall submit a legible copy of the missing manifest, with some indication that the generator has not received confirmation of delivery. This information shall be submitted to: DTSC Report Repository Generator Information Services Section P.O. Box 806 Sacramento, CA 95812-0806 Immediately locate a copy of the missing manifest or prepare and submit the required information to DTSC. By 4-6-12, submit to the EHD a copy of the signed off copy of the manifest or a copy of the information submitted to DTSC. 405. Stan Esposito confirmed that the containers of hazardous waste are not being inspected weekly. Nor is there documentation on site to show how often these containers of hazardous waste are being inspected. Containers of hazardous waste must be inspected weekly. Correct immediately by implementing weekly inspections of the hazardous waste containers. 407. Approximately 58 empty 55 gallon drums that used to contain hazardous material were not labeled empty nor with the date emptied. Containers larger than five gallons that previously held a hazardous material shall be marked with the date they were emptied and managed within one year of being emptied. Immediately mark and manage all empty containers per this section. 605. At the south west outside storage yard there are four red 55 gallon drums of hazardous waste only ALL EHD STAFF TIME ASSOCIATED WITH FAILING TO COMPLY BY THE ABOVE NOTED DATES WILL BE BILLED AT THE CURRENT HOURLY RATE.
