All facility communications or alarm systems, fire protection equipment, spill <br /> control equipment, and decontamination equipment, where required, shall be tested and maintained as necessary to <br /> assure its proper operation in time of emergency. Immediately begin this practice. Submit proof of correction to the <br /> EHD. <br /> This is a Class II violation. <br /> 403 CCR 66265.173 Failed to keep hazardous waste containers closed except when adding or removing hazardous waste. <br /> One 55 gallon container of waste absorbent located inside the shop area lacked a lid. All hazardous waste containers <br /> shall be closed at all times except when adding or removing waste. Immediately close these containers and ensure <br /> all hazardous waste containers are closed when not adding or removing waste. Submit proof of correction to the EHD. <br /> This is a Class II violation. <br /> 407 CCR 66261.7(f) Contaminated container not marked with date emptied or managed within one year of being emptied. <br /> One 14 gallon container which used to hold gear lubrication was noted inside the hazardous waste storage area; this <br /> container had no label. Containers larger than five gallons that previously held a hazardous material shall be marked <br /> with the date they were emptied and managed within one year of being emptied. Immediately mark and manage all <br /> empty containers per this section. Submit proof of correction to the EHD. <br /> This is a Class II violation. <br /> 501 CCR 66265.192(a) Failed to comply with new hazardous waste tank system assessment requirements. <br /> Facility does not have a tank assessment for the 500 gallon waste oil tank. The owner or operator of a hazardous <br /> waste tank shall obtain a written assessment reviewed and certified by an independent, qualified, professional <br /> engineer, registered in California attesting that the system has sufficient structural integrity, is acceptable for the <br /> transferring, storing, and treating of hazardous waste, and that the tanks and containment system are suitably <br /> designed. Immediately have an assessment prepared for the 500 gallon waste oil tank. Submit a schedule showing <br /> when this will be accomplished to the EHD. <br /> This is a Class I violation. <br /> Page 9 of 12 <br />
