A 55 gallon drum marked <br /> 'Waste oil"and two 55 gallon drums in the oily waste drum storage area were observed with liquid inside and open <br /> bungholes. Metal fines from the metal grinder were observed on the ground in the shop and on and around equipment, <br /> uncontained. The facility's response to the 2012 hazardous waste generator inspection stated that the facility would <br /> be handling all metal fines as hazardous waste. All hazardous waste containers shall be closed at all times except <br /> when adding or removing waste. No uniform manifests were <br /> found for the last three years on the DTSC website for absorbent or metal grindings. Facilities who generate less than <br /> 1000 kg of hazardous waste per month and do not exceed 6000 kg of waste stored on site at any time may store <br /> waste on site up to 180 days.
