Since it cannot be determined how long the red drum of used oil has been on <br /> site, immediately contact a licensed hazardous waste hauler to dispose of this waste under manifest and <br /> submit a copy of the manifest to the EHD by November 7, 2013. REPEAT VIOLATION <br /> Notice to Comply - Minor violations: (404, 407) <br /> 404. A 5 gallon white plastic bucket of used oil was observed in the shop without a lid or label. A 5 <br /> gallon white plastic bucket of unknown liquid waste was observed at Press 2 Roll Stand, according to <br /> Mr. Ross, this waste appears to be water, but will be disposed of as hazardous in case it has some oil in <br /> it. All hazardous waste containers shall be closed at all times except when adding or removing waste. <br /> Immediately close these containers and ensure all hazardous waste containers are closed when not <br /> adding or removing waste. <br /> 407. Two 55 gallon steel drums, one black, one blue, which previously held isobutanol, were observed <br /> in the outside storage area without empty labeling. Containers larger than five gallons that previously <br /> held a hazardous material shall be marked as empty with the date they were emptied and managed <br /> within one year of being emptied. Immediately mark and manage all empty containers per this section. <br /> Complete and submit a copy of the Return to Compliance Certification to the EHD by November 7, 2013 <br /> along with a statement documenting the corrective actions that have been or will be taken for each <br /> violation and any supporting paperwork. <br /> Note: (corrected on site) A garbage can was observed in front of the shop eyewash, inside the painted <br /> green square for the eyewash clearance area. All facility communications and alarm systems, fire <br /> protection equipment, spill control equipment, and decontamination equipment, shall be tested and <br /> maintained as necessary to assure its proper operation in time of emergency.
