Responsible for managing hazardous waste including scheduling pickups, preparing and tracking <br /> hazardous waste manifests, ensuring that appropriate personnel oversee pickup, and maintaining <br /> the integrity of the waste stream. <br /> 12. Audits incoming MSDS for hazardous ingredients and initiates appropriate action as may be <br /> necessary for usage of any new hazardous materials. <br /> 13. Responsible for all emergency response activities including the reporting of spills, and <br /> checks and maintains inventories of emergency response equipment on—site. <br /> 14. Coordinating with Corporate Environmental staff, prepares and updates environmental, sanitation <br /> and safety procedures as may be necessary to stay in compliance. <br /> 15. Coordinates with Corporate Environmental and plant Human Resources scheduling of all necessary <br /> environmental, sanitary and safety training; assists in training and ensures required record keeping. <br /> 16. In conjunction with the plant manager, accompanies federal, state and local regulatory personnel <br /> on tours of the plant. <br /> 17. May work with local regulators as part of a committee to revise environmental/safety regulations <br /> that would affect the entire area. <br /> 18. Performs other similar and related duties as required. <br />
