The thermoformer molds 010" thick polystyrene sheet into <br /> cold drink lids. The sheet is conveyed through a long <br /> enclosed oven to soften the plastic. It is then clamped <br /> in a mold where vacuum and compressed air form the material <br /> into the shape of the mold. The molded sheet is fed into a <br /> trim press where the lids are punched out and delivered onto <br /> punched out and delivered onto a packing table. The skeleton <br /> waste is chopped and transferred through a pneumatic tube and <br /> accumulated in gaylords for recycling. <br />
