Zuckerman Road, Stockton, <br /> San Joaquin County (APN Number 135-39-53A); Cost Recovery ID Number: <br /> 2"050"608 <br /> Dear Mr. Roberts, <br /> California Regional Water Quality Control Board, Central Valley Region (Central Valley <br /> Water Board) staff has reviewed the lab results from the excavation and soil stockpile <br /> sampling associated with the production fluid release at the McDonald Island <br /> Underground Storage Facility - Whiskey Slough Station (Site). This letter has been sent <br /> to you as the designated representative (Senior Environmental Specialist) for Pacific <br /> Gas & Electric Company's (PG&E's) McDonald Island Underground Storage Facility - <br /> Whiskey Slough Station (UCSF-WSS) located at 2121 N. Zuckerman Road in Stockton, <br /> CA. <br /> On December 21, 2017, Hazardous Materials Spill Report: Cal OES Control # 17-9014 <br /> was issued. The report stated that there was a release of an unknown amount of <br /> production fluid into soil. It was determined the release was caused by an underground <br /> line failure. San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department conducted the initial <br /> investigation and then referred the case to the Central Valley Water Board on <br /> December 28, 2017. On January 3, 2018, a limited excavation was completed to <br /> expose the leaking pipe for repair activities as well as to determine the extent of the <br /> potential contamination. On January 11, 2018, PG&E personnel submitted the <br /> laboratory results from these activities to the Central Valley Water Board. <br /> LAB RESULTS REVIEW <br /> Soil samples were taken from the North, South, East, West and bottom (labeled Center) <br /> of the excavation. Samples were analyzed for the CAM 17 Metals, Sodium, Semivolatile <br /> Organic Compounds (SVOCs), Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs), Bromide, <br /> Chloride, Fluoride, Nitrate as NO3, Nitrite as NO2, Orthophosphate as PO4, Sulfate as <br /> KARL E.
