The generator must ensure that all employees who handle hazardous waste <br /> are thoroughly familiar with proper waste handling and emergency procedures. Provide proof of training to the EHD for <br /> employees whose responsibilities include hazardous waste. <br /> This is a minor violation. <br /> 112 HSC 25160.2(b)(3) Failed to keep copies of consolidated manifesting receipts for three years. <br /> Copies of hazardous waste disposal records were not found on site. Hazardous waste generators shall retain copies <br /> of all manifests signed off by the disposal facility and all receipts used in a consolidated manifesting procedure on site <br /> for three years and have them readily available for review. Immediately locate a copy of all manifests and receipts for <br /> the last three years, maintain them on site, and submit copies to the EHD. <br /> This is a minor violation. <br /> 114 CCR 66266.81(a)(4)(B) Failed to retain copy of manifest or bill of lading for spent lead acid batteries for 3 years. <br /> Bills of lading or manifests for the management of lead acid batteries for the last three years were not found on site. A <br /> copy of each bill of lading must be kept on site for at least three years. Immediately locate a copy of all bills of lading <br /> or manifests for lead acid batteries for the last three years, maintain them on site, and submit copies to the EHD. <br /> This is a Class II violation. <br /> 117 HSC 25404(e)(4) Failed to report program data electronically. <br /> A submission to the California Electronic Reporting System (CERS)for the hazardous waste program has not been <br /> made. Beginning January 1, 2013, all businesses are required to submit all new (or any changes to existing) <br /> hazardous waste information online to the CERS at http://cers.calepa.ca.gov. Be sure to include your hazardous <br /> waste activity in the Businesses Activities section in CERS in addition to any other relevant activities and required <br /> fields. <br /> This is a Class II violation. <br /> 301 CCR 66262.34(d)(2) Facility not maintained to minimize the release of a hazardous waste. <br /> Oily staining was noted on top and around the hazardous waste storage containers. Facilities shall be maintained <br /> and operated to minimize the possibility of a fire, explosion, or release of hazardous waste to air, soil, or surface water <br /> which could threaten human health or the environment. Immediately fix all leaks and stains, and manage according to <br /> Title 22 hazardous waste regulations.
