Sensor shall contain integral Nema-4 <br />junction box. Sensor must remain accessible after installation. <br />5. MISCELLANEOUS ITEMS: <br />Foot valves shall be Wheaton #A0439. <br />SEE :Mm 412 Fog, A>D,rIONq� TAM <br />ADD.?. Fill boxyshall be 4 -inch, Wheaton #A-0571, locking -flush type. <br />Vent Terminal: Wheaton #A-785 mushroom style, with size to suit vent <br />piping. <br />Sounding box shall be 3 -inch, Wheaton #A-0571, locking -flush type. <br />C. PART 3 - EXECUTION <br />1. GENERAL: <br />Furnish and install a complete fuel oil system to supply No. 2 diesel oil. <br />System shall consist of an underground fuel oil storage tank as hereinbefore <br />specified, a fuel oil pump, and all piping required. <br />2. TANK INSTALLATION: <br />Tank shall be constructed in accordance with Underwriters' Laboratories, <br />Inc., standards for underground storage tanks. Tanks shall bear fabricator's <br />label and UL label. All openings shall.be covered to prevent entrance of dirt <br />and moisture during shipment. Backfill with pea gravel around each tank. No <br />part of the tank shall be higher than 3 feet, 0 -inches below the surface of the <br />ground, or lower than as detailed. All horizontal pipe shall slope down 1/8 - <br />inch per foot toward.tank. Vent, fill, and discharge piping; valves; and <br />fittings shall be as shown on the Drawings. Provide swing joints at all <br />connections to tanks for tank -mounted equipment. <br />Tank anchor straps and anchor bolts shall be thoroughly cleaned of all <br />scale, dirt, rust, oil, or grease and shall be coated with two coats of Koppers <br />Bitumastic No. 50. All surfaces shall be completely covered and good adhesion <br />secured. Furnish tank with lifting eyes, reinforced as required. <br />Fill, suction, return, vent, and sounding lines shall be provided as shown. <br />Watertight caps shall be provided for the sounding line in the size required. <br />The vent line shall be run as shown, flashed watertight through wall and <br />terminated with a screen vent. A locking -type, cast-iron fill box set in <br />concrete shall be installed for the fill line at the surface. <br />Furnish suction connections with foot valve and foot valve extractor as <br />shown on Drawings. <br />Contractor shall furnish and install all piping and lines as shown on <br />Drawings of materials hereinbefore specified. Underground piping shall be <br />protected as hereinbefore specified. All pipe connections at tank shall be made <br />with swing joints to allow for possible tank settlement. <br />Concrete ballast for tank will be provided under this section of the work. <br />FUEL OIL SYSTEMS <br />15485 — 3 <br />
