This system is able to detect the presence of a leak in the primary as well as
secondary containment through the use of an annular space and submerged sensor. If an alarm or
failure conditions occurs, the Operator will call Chevron Maintenance Dispatch at 800-423-3528
(24 hour) immediately. The Operator will then record the alarm condition on a log along with the
investigative/corrective action steps followed to resolve the situation. Response to the alarm
condition will occur within 24 hours.
If the alarm condition is NOT the result of an equipment failure, then Chevron will repair the tank
system in accordance with all local and state requirements. If the alarm condition is the result of an
equipment failure, Chevron will repair the equipment as required and ensure that it is functioning
properly.
MONITORING SYSTEM
CONTINUOUS INTERSTITIAL MONITOR: X LIQUID FLOAT SWITCH SENSOR
EQUIPMENT AT THIS FACILITY: Veeder-Root TLS-350 Annular Space Monitor Series 794390-420
MAINTENANCE CONTRACTOR: Chevron Maintenance Dispatch
The Operator or a designated employee performs visual monitoring of the tank monitor alarm box
daily.
