Additionally, there would be a minimum of two soil
samplings for every 50 cubic yards of excavated soil and
such samplings would be taken from sidewall locations, as
well as the bottom of the excavation.
5 . The potentially contaminated soil to be
excavated would be placed on six ml plastic at a suitable
depth and covered pending issuance of a permit from the Air
Quality Board which would allow aerating.
6. Since the re-excavation will be in two stages,
the potentially contaminated soil will be segregated in two
piles at the site. Upon receipt of a permit, the
contaminated soil will be aerated or otherwise disposed of
as necessary, at a suitable toxic waste disposal site .
7. It is anticipated that the proposed work will
be completed to the extent of re-excavation within two weeks
of receipt of the appropriate permits. It is anticipated
that aerating may take from 30 to 60 days . Sampling results
will be submitted to SJLHD from time to time as received,
but no later than within ten days after the re-excavation.
Yours uly,
_rnc
LL YD S
Enclos re
