All tank removal operations shall meet the requirements of the California <br /> Code, Title 23, Chapter 3, Subchapter 16. Articles and sections listed are <br /> for reference only. <br /> 2. A description of the underground tank to be removed, size, quantity, storage <br /> purpose and location of the tank can be found in attachment 1. <br /> 3. The tank removed under this contract shall become the property of the contractor. <br /> The following closure procedures are included in the scope of work of the removal <br /> contract. <br /> 4. Closure Procedures: The contractor at a minimum shall: <br /> (a) Obtain San Joaquin County Tank Removal permits prior to the start of work <br /> and pay all permit fees. At the time of application for removal permits, the <br /> contractor shall provide proof of contractors classification; State Contractor's <br /> license number; certificate of workers compensation insurance; the name of the <br /> certified laboratory contracted to perform testing and Government signed County <br /> "Release of Information Authorization" form. A written description identifying <br /> the fate of the tank is required and shall be submitted to the Government and <br /> San Joaquin County for approval. Approval will be required prior to issue of the <br /> removal permits. <br /> (b) Remove all tank residuals as defined in Article 7, Section 2672 a, b, of <br /> the California Administrative Code Title 23, Chapter 3, Subchapter 16. Removal <br /> shall be accomplished prior to excavation. Pumping equipment shall be sparkless. <br /> Residuals shall be pumped into Government containers. Residuals shall be disposed <br /> of by the Defense Reutilization and Marketing Services (DRMO). All disposal <br /> procedures are to comply with Federal, State County and local regulations. <br />
