The UST system must be compatible with the substance being stored, California Code of <br /> Regulations (CCR), Title 23, Section 2631.1. <br /> 6. All piping, fittings, sumps, and tanks must be certified by an independent testing organization and <br /> labeled as required by the organization. (UL, ULC, ANSI, API, ASTM, etc. See Title 23 Chapter <br /> 16 Table B for complete list.) Pursuant to Underwriters Laboratories Inc (UL) listing requirements, <br /> only those products bearing the UL mark will be considered listed. ANY PART/PRODUCT NOT <br /> MARKED WITH THE UL LABEL OR ANOTHER LISTED TESTING ORGANIZATION WILL BE <br /> REJECTED. <br /> 7. All USTs shall be anchored using dead-men as detailed in the permit application. <br /> 8. All monitoring systems shall be listed in the CA State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB) <br /> Local Guidance (LG) 113 letter. <br /> 9. All installation and testing shall be in compliance with manufacturer's instructions, CCR Title 23, <br /> Section 2635 and Section 2636. <br /> 10.All piping must slope to a containment sump with an audible/visual alarm. <br /> 11. UST sumps must be constructed "product tight" as defined by California Health and Safety Code <br /> (HSC) Section 25290.1. <br /> 12.All tank top openings that are connected to the primary space of the UST must have secondary <br /> containment, audible/visual alarm and be product tight or terminate at grade. <br /> 13.All secondary containment for the UST must be constructed per HSC Section 25290.1(c)(3). <br /> 14.The secondary containment system for the UST must be continuously monitored as required <br /> under HSC Section 25290.1 <br /> 15. Overfill prevention for the UST shall satisfy CCR Section 2635(b)(2)(A) pursuant to the permit <br /> application. <br /> 16.All UST metal components in direct contact with the ground such as flexible connectors, swing <br /> joints, fittings, clamps, bands, and pumps shall have corrosion protection. <br /> 17.Any changes in the approved scope of work shall be submitted to the EHD for approval prior to <br /> commencing work. All new submittals supersede the previous ones. <br /> 18.A"Certification of Installation/Modification" form for each tank shall be submitted by the owner or <br /> the owners' agent [pursuant to CCR Section 2635(d)] before this install will be considered <br /> complete by the EHD. <br /> 19.An accurate and drawn to scale as-built plan must be submitted to the EHD prior to scheduling a <br /> final inspection. <br /> 20. No gasoline, diesel, or other hazardous material or waste can be released (intentionally or <br /> unintentionally) to the sewer/septic, storm water system, or any other waters of the state. If a <br /> release occurs it will be considered illegal hazardous waste disposal and will be subject to <br /> enforcement. <br /> 21. Submit the Best Management Practices (BMP) to the EHD for managing fuel spills and wash- <br /> down water at this site prior to the final inspection. <br /> 22. Submit correct and complete Monitoring and Response Plans for approval prior to scheduling a <br /> final inspection. <br /> 23. Employee training by the UST Designated Operator on the new UST system must be completed <br /> and documentation submitted to the EHD prior to scheduling a final inspection. <br /> 24. Submit a Certification of Financial Responsibility for Underground Storage Tanks containing <br /> Petroleum Form with the appropriate mechanism prior to scheduling a final inspection. <br /> 25. Passing Enhanced Leak Detection (ELD) results for the UST must be received by the EHD prior <br /> to depositing product into the UST. <br /> Page 2 of 3 <br />
