or testing positive for mood altering substances at the workplace, or coming to work under the <br /> influence of such substances shall be in violation of safe work practices and will be subject to <br /> immediate removal from the job site and possible termination of employment. <br /> 3.16 PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT <br /> The Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO) in consultation with the CIH will be <br /> responsible for determining required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). A majority of the <br /> work to be performed under this contract involves the potential for contact with petroleum <br /> hydrocarbons. The potential for contact will be primarily through inhalation to the respiratory <br /> system or through ingestion by hand mouth contact coupled with inadequate hygiene practices. <br /> Coincidental contact with the whole body may also occur. <br /> An assessment of the workplace has been performed by Geofon's CIH and the following <br /> levels of personal protective equipment (PPE) will be used for this project. All work within the <br /> exclusion zone will be conducted in Level C PPE. All work within the support zone will be <br /> conducted in Level D PPE.
