(AGE) has prepared this <br /> report in conjunction with the removal of two 550-gallon,two-3,000 gallon and one-4,000 gallon <br /> steel,underground storage tanks (USTs)at the referenced address. <br /> BACKGROUND LOCATION <br /> The site is located in a commercial area of very low topographic relief, sloping gently toward the <br /> west (Figure 1 - Location Map) at an estimated elevation of 15 feet above sea level. Depth to <br /> ground water at a monitoring well located approximately '/4-mile north of the site is 30 feet <br /> below surface grade, at a surface elevation of 15 feet above mean sea level. Ground water was <br /> not encountered during removal of the USTs. <br /> UST REMOVAL <br /> The USTs were removed on 18 December 1998 (Figure 2 - Site Plan). The dispensers and <br /> product line(s) were removed during excavation of the USTs. Three of USTs and associated <br /> dispenser had been utilized for gasoline. The two small UST were used for waste or transmission <br /> oils. The dispenser island was located near the west edge of the property. The soil removed to <br /> uncover the gasoline tanks (stockpile A) was replaced and compacted back into the excavation <br /> for the gasoline USTs.
