Comments: Replaced L2, the liquid sensor in the Regular tank#1 fill sump due to a failure of the high
float.
In addition, all discriminating sensors were tested using the following test procedure to insure complete
operation of the tri-state discriminating sensor:
1. The sensor is submerged V in water to test the lower float. A liquid alarm is detected without positive
shutoff.
2. The sensor is submerged completely in water. A high liquid or fuel alarm is detected. Positive shutoff
occurs.
3. The sensor is removed from the water and dipped (one inch) in gasoline while the resistance readings
are monitored on the Veeder-Root. The fuel alarm will be detected and positive shutoff will occur.
No Other Deficiencies. The facility is in compliance.
