The <br /> notice shall describe the exact location of the closed underground storage <br /> tank, the substance it contained and the closure method. <br /> G. DECONTAMINATE TANKS <br /> The interior of the tanks will be pressure washed per the specifications of <br /> NFPA 327. The equivalent of a triple rinse of water and degreasing solution <br /> generating a minimum of two percent of the tank volume. <br /> The degreaser solution is a biodegradable solution purchased through <br /> Easy Clean products. <br /> H. DISPOSAL OF TANKS <br /> Placer Tractor is responsible for removal and disposal of the tanks and all <br /> associated piping from the site. unless contract states other arrangements. <br /> A Certificate of Disposal will be supplied to the owner stating the final dis- <br /> position of the tank(s). All of the tanks will be smashed or cut up for scrap. <br /> If tanks are to be disposed of as hazardous they will be transported to Erickson, <br /> Inc. in Richmond on a manifest. <br /> ✓Non-Hazardous tanks will be hauled to Schnitzer Steel in Sacramento, CA <br /> I. BACKFILLING TANK EXCAVATIION <br /> Placer Tractor will be responsible for providing additional clean backfill, free <br /> of foreign material or rocks greater than 3" in any dimension. <br /> The backfill will be compacted in loose lifts not exceeding 8 inches in thickness. <br /> Backfill should be moisture conditioned to 1 -3x over optimum moisture content, <br /> and compacted to 90 percent relative compaction to within 12 inches of sub- <br /> grade in accordance with ASIM 1557-D.
