Parman
Subject: SOIL SAMPLING AND ANALYSIS
FOR UNDERGROUND TANK CLOSURE
Dear Mr. Parman:
J. H. Kleinfelder & Associates is pleased to submit our
proposed scope of work and cost estimate to perform sampling and
laboratory analysis of the soil beneath a 1 , 250 gallon
underground storage tank scheduled for closure. It is our
understanding that the tank was used to contain rinse water from
pesticide manufacturing operations but is presently empty. The
tank is located under the concrete foundation of a building and
consequently, the San Joaquin County Health Department has
granted permission to abandon the tank in place.
To verify whether leakage has occurred from the tank the
Health Department has requested that soil samples be taken
beneath each end of the tank and chemical analyses be performed
on those samples to screen for the _presence of the _products that
may have been rinsed into the tank.
Based on the above we have developed the following scope of
work:
v-
RV
0.Sp
N
