TRAINING : <br /> Personnel shall receive training in accordance with the Contractors <br /> written safety and health training program and CFR 29 Part 1910 Section <br /> . 120, CFR 29 Part 1926 Section . 65, and CFR 29 Part 1926 Section .21 <br /> All contractor and subcontractor personnel shall have training to safely <br /> perform their required tasks. <br /> The SSHP shall include a section describing training requirements and <br /> are listed as follows: <br /> • Names of employees and alternates responsible for <br /> safety and health. <br /> • Acute and chronic effects of the specific job-site <br /> hazards. Hazard analysis of site conditions . <br /> Corps of Engineers regulations EM 385-1-1. <br /> • Employee rights under OSHA. <br /> • Site Safety and Health Plan (SSHP) <br /> Engineering and personal controls (PPE) . <br /> Medical surveillance requirements. <br /> • Personal and Environmental Monitoring Procedures. <br /> • Standard operating, emergency & evacuation procedures. <br /> Decontamination. <br /> Site control measures and buddy system. <br /> All employees performing asbestos work shall have been trained in work <br /> practices and procedures under AHERA requirements of EPA 40 CFR Part 736 <br /> or more stringent state requirements. <br /> All employees who may be exposed to hazardous materials except asbestos <br /> shall have an OSHA 40-hr HAZMAT course, 3 days actual field experience <br /> under the direct supervision of a trained, experienced supervisor and 8 <br /> hour refresher training annually. <br /> The SHM shall provide training as specified by CFR 29-1910. 146, for <br /> employees who are required to supervise, standby, or enter permit- <br /> required confined spaces. <br /> Persons involved in any aspect of the transportation of hazardous <br /> materials shall be trained in accordance with CER 49 Part 172 Subpart H. <br /> 37 <br /> Site Safety & Health Plan Rev./1.0 <br /> October 20, 1997 <br />
