Failure to
locate such lines or structures and responsibility for
any necessary corrective action or resulting damage
will not be the responsibility of JHK&A. Contact will
be made with Underground Services Alert to notify
public utility companies of our proposed operations.
o Power and water to operate a steam cleaner and an area
on-site where our hollow-stem augers can be steam
cleaned. Steam cleaning of the augers between borings
is necessary to preclude cross-contamination and sample
bias.
o JHK&A will stockpile drill cuttings next to the
boring unless contaminated soils are found. Any
contaminated borings will be backfilled with cement
grout and the cuttings placed on plastic sheets or in
55-gallon drums for disposal . JHK&A will not be
responsible for the disposal of any drill cuttings.
