All persons shall follow these rules, render all possible <br /> aid to safe operations, and report all unsafe conditions <br /> or practices to the foreman or superintendent. <br /> 2 . Foremen shall insist on employees observing and obeying <br /> every rule and regulation as is necessary to the safe <br /> conduct of work, and shall take necessary action to <br /> obtain observance. <br /> 3 . All employees shall be given frequent accident prevention, <br /> instructions. Instructions shall be given at least every <br /> ten working days. <br /> 4 . No intoxicating beverages or drugs of any kind are <br /> permitted on the job-site. <br /> 5 . No one under the influence of any drugs or intoxicating <br /> substances which impair the ability to safely perform <br /> shall not be permitted on the job-site. <br /> 6 . Fighting, horseplay, running, pushing, or practical jokes <br /> will not be tolerated. <br /> 7 . Work shall be well planned and supervised to prevent <br /> injuries in the handling of materials and in working with <br /> equipment. <br /> 8 . No one shall knowingly be permitted or required to work <br /> while the employee's ability or alertness is so impaired <br /> by fatigue, illness, or other causes that it might <br /> unnecessarily expose the employee or others to injury. <br /> 9 . Employees shall not enter manholes, underground vaults, <br /> chambers, tanks silos, or other similar places - that <br /> receive little ventilation, unless it has first been <br /> determined that is safe to enter. <br /> 10 . Hazardous areas (including holes and trenches) shall be <br /> roped off or barricaded to protect others from falling <br /> objects or from other dangerous conditions . Do not enter <br /> an area that has been roped off or posted as dangerous, <br /> without first getting permission from the foreman. <br /> 11 . Excavations shall be inspected by a qualified person <br /> after every rainstorm or other hazard-increasing <br /> occurrence. Employees who enter excavations 5 feet or <br /> more in depth shall be protected by a system of shoring, <br /> sloping, benching or other means of protection. In no <br /> P � g. <br />
