34 . Welding equipment must be kept clean and free of oil. <br /> Valves, couplings, regulators, hoses and torches should <br /> never be lubricated due to oil and grease exposed to <br /> oxygen will catch fire immediately. <br /> 35 . Repair, or replace leaking oxygen and acetylene welding <br /> equipment immediately. <br /> 36 . Purge oxygen and acetylene lines before igniting torch. <br /> 37 . Oxygen and acetylene cylinders must be stored separately <br /> and empty cylinders should be marked as "EMPTY" . <br /> 38. Cylinders must never be exposed to excessive heat and <br /> must be kept in an upright position. <br /> 39 . Compressed gas cylinders must be protected from contact <br /> with electrical circuits. <br /> 40. In case acetylene cylinder valves or fuse plugs are found <br /> to leak gas, do the following: <br /> a) Move the cylinder to an outdoor location away from <br /> possible sources of ignition. <br /> b) Tag the cylinder with an explanation of the hazard. <br /> c) Notify by telephone the cylinder supplier. <br /> REVISED 11/08/91 <br />
