Partial Facility Demolition <br /> ARCO Station No. 5569 <br /> 3518 East Dammer Lane <br /> Stockton, California <br /> Attachment 1 <br /> 1. ARCO will provide direct reimbursement for the cost of all permits. The <br /> reimbursement will be calculated from receipts forwarded to ARCO by the Contractor <br /> after the permitting process has been completed. <br /> 2. Contractor will obtain a licensed asbestos contractor to perform the necessary asbestos <br /> survey for the removal of the canopy <br /> 3. The pump island and tank pit area are presently concrete per the provided drawings. <br /> This area is to be resurfaced with a 4 inch AR 400 or better asphalt. The asphalt patch <br /> will be graded to blend with the elevation of the surrounding asphalt. The patch is to be <br /> free of depressions and allow for adequate drainage to existing catch basins. <br /> 4. The two on-site catch basins are to`be covered prior to any excavation. The Contractor <br /> is responsible for insuring that no liquid or debris enters these basins during the <br /> _ demolition project. <br /> 5. The site presently has temporary fencing in place for the protection of the property. <br /> Any additional security is at the discretion of the contractor in order to protect public <br /> safety, equipment and employees. <br /> 6. Contractor will perform backfilling of excavations in accordance with San Joaquin <br /> County Environmental Health Division requirements. The completion of the application <br /> requirements will be the responsibility of the Contractor. (backfill requirements see <br /> Backfill Excavation Certificate) <br /> 7. Backfill material will be peagravel (as described in San Joaquin County backfill <br /> excavation certificate requirements) to five feet below grade. Contractor will then install <br /> fabric Type R or equal. The remainder of the excavation to be filled with base rock <br /> (which meets requirements listed in San Joaquin County). The material above five feet <br /> below ground level shall be installed at no more than 12 inch lifts and will be compacted <br /> to meet the total requirement of 95%compaction as verified by a certified geotechnical <br /> firm per San Joaquin County requirements <br /> r 8. The one sign board located at the site in the planter area will not be removed. The <br /> planter area shall be restored to surrounding grade. <br />
