d. Complete the Recordable Discharge Log when and as the source of the alarm is known. <br /> In the event the impact valve is activated and shuts down a dispenser, station personnel immediately: <br /> a. Contact ARCO Maintenance or its designated agent by using the telephone number previously <br /> provided. <br /> b. Tag the dispenser "out of order" until the liquid has been removed by authorized persons. <br /> ARCO RESPONSIBILITIES <br /> B. METHOD OF REMOVING AN UNAUTHORIZED RELEASE FROM THE SECONDARY <br /> CONTAINMENT <br /> a. Any unauthorized release into the secondary containment system of a product tank will be <br /> removed by pumping. Uncontaminated product may be returned to the tank. Contaminated <br /> product may be returned to the refinery to be recycled or may be disposed of following <br /> procedures in accordance with California Health Safety Code requirements. <br /> b. Any unauthorized release into the containment box will be removed by ARCO in accordance <br /> with California Health and Safety Code requirements. In the event of an emergency, a pumping <br /> contractor or truck will be available immediately. In all other cases, equipment availability will <br /> be within 12 hours. <br /> c. ARCO Maintenance will be responsible for authorizing and selecting contractors for the work <br /> to be performed. <br /> 5. TRAINING <br /> In addition to the training covering subjects mentioned in Sections 3 and 4 above,training needed for the <br /> operation of the tank system and monitoring equipment includes: <br /> How to: <br /> ► Take tank level measurements <br /> ► Read dispenser meters <br /> ► Inspect equipment <br /> ► Recognize warning signs: dispenser hesitations, meter spins, and odors <br /> ► Manually close dispenser impact valve <br /> ► Replace dispenser filters <br /> ► Shut down the system with and location of: ARCOmatic switch, electrical panel breakers, and <br /> emergency shutoff switch <br /> ► Test the electronic monitor <br /> 7063.001 [SHK/jss] <br />
