All corrective action taken will be documented and kept <br /> on file, including type of action taken. <br /> PROTECTIVE DEVICES: Employees have a responsibility for their <br /> own safety and health. The Company furnishes all required safety <br /> equipment, which must be used under all circumstances, when <br /> required. Loaders will be equipped with rods and seat belts. <br /> WORK HABITS: Even the most conscientious or experienced employee <br /> may have work habits that create a potential for injury to <br /> themselves or to others which they may not recognize. Employee <br /> work habits will be observed with the inte:it of correcting the <br /> faulty work habit. <br /> INJURY REPORTING: All injuries shall be immediately reported <br /> to the Safety Manager, so that arrangements can be made for <br /> medical aid. <br /> FIRE EMERGENCY: Fire extinguishers, are placed in all required <br /> locations. Arrangements have been made to have a fire <br /> extinguisher service company periodically demonstrate the proper <br /> use of the extinguisher and which type of extinguisher to use <br /> on any given type of fire. The demonstrations are designed <br /> to give employees hands-on experience on gas and oil fires and <br /> will be incorporated into annual refresher training. <br /> FIRST AID TRAINING: A minimum of one employee will receive first <br /> aid and cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) training. First <br /> aid certification is renewed every three years and CPR <br /> certification must be renewed annually. <br /> HAZARD COMMUNICATION <br /> The Safety Manager is responsible for Hazard Communications. <br /> Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and an inventory of all <br /> hazardous substances are located .in clearly marked binders. <br /> Employees may review each MSDS binder on his own or he may ask <br /> the Safety Manager, for assistance. MSDS files are updated <br /> when new hazardous or toxic materials come on site. Containers <br /> of hazardous or toxic materials entering the sites are checked <br /> by the Safety Manager to assure that they are properly labeled <br /> with the chemical name of contents, the appropriate hazard <br /> warning, and the name and address of the supplier or <br /> manufacturer. <br /> EMPLOYEE TRAINING: Employee training will be provided for all <br /> current personnel and for all new employees at the beginning <br /> of their employment. This training covers the following areas: <br /> 1 . Basic requirements of the Hazardous Communications Standard <br /> and their right to information on chemical hazards. <br /> 4 <br />
