MAJESTIC TECH <br /> 10 . 0 EXPOSURE MONITORING PROGRAM <br /> Based on the chemical and physical hazards anticipated to be encountered <br /> during this project, appropriate exposure monitoring will be conducted to <br /> Identify and evalaute hazards and guide field decisions related to <br /> Personal safety and operations. Exposure monitoring will include <br /> flammable and explosive atmospheres , concentrations od ionizable <br /> hydrocarbons above background conditions, specific toxic constituents <br /> (i. e. , benzene) , hot environments, and noise (if appropriate) , <br /> 10. 1 MINIMUM RE6UIREMENTS <br /> All exposure monitoring will be performed by the Safety and Health <br /> Officer (SHO) , unless otherwise directed by the Certified <br /> Industrial Hygienist and approved by the Orange County Project <br /> Manager. The SHO shall be trained and Qualified to operate all <br /> instruments, including inspection, calibration check, warm-up and <br /> functions check, sampling procedures , maintenance, and storage. <br /> Specific instrument training shall be completed and documented <br /> prior to the start of the project ( see Section 9. 1 above ) , <br /> All field portable monitoring instruments shall be Calibrated <br /> according to the manufacturer' s instructions at least every thirty <br /> days, and a record of this calibration maintained by Majestic <br /> Technologies , Inc. on site during the project. In addition, all <br /> field portable instruments shall be Calibration Checked for proper <br /> operations according to the manufacturer' s instructions daily <br /> before use. This daily instrument calibration check sahll be <br /> Performed by the SHP and documented on an Instrument Calibration <br /> Check Log ( see Attachment 3) . Records of all daily calibration <br /> checks shall be maintained on site during the protect . <br /> All exposure monitoring shall be documented on an Exposure <br /> Monitoring Log ( see Attachment h) . The SHO shall initiate a new <br /> log for each day of monitoring for each parameter being monitored <br /> (i. e. , sperate lOgs for flammable/explosive, toxics, airborne <br /> hydrocarbons, heat stress, noise, etc. ) . <br />
