KAJESTIC TECH <br /> Level C protective clothing and equipment shall consist of the following: <br /> - Disposalable Tyvek suit, unless otherwise specified (NOTE: <br /> For transfer punpinc of tank contents, polyethylene coated <br /> Tyvex shall be worn) . <br /> - Chemical resistant boots with ANSI approved steel safety <br /> toes (PVC or Neoprene) <br /> - Chemical protective booties (PVC or Latex, optional, may be <br /> specified when working in wet or heavily contaminated soils ) <br /> - Chemical reistant inner and outer protective gloves (PVC <br /> inner gloves and PVC, Neoprene. or Nitrile outer gloves ) <br /> - Half-face air purifying respirator with organic vapor <br /> cartridges. If appropriate for conditions, full-face <br /> respirators may be specified. <br /> Chemical protective goggles. ANZI approved ( if wearing a <br /> half-face air purifying respirator) <br /> Hard hat, ANZI approved <br /> - Hearing protective devices (i. e. disposable foam inserts <br /> with an NRR of 28 or greater, required in all active air <br /> operations area, when using pneumatically driven equipment , <br /> and whenever else specified by the Field Supervisor or SHO) <br /> High visiblity traffic safety vest (required in all active <br /> air owerations areas . all other traffic hazard areas , and <br /> whenever specified by the Field Supervisor or the SHO) <br /> When using chemical protective clothing. the following safety <br /> requirements apply: <br /> All equipment shall be inspected by the wearer prior to use , <br /> - Respirator cartridges shall be changed during a work shift <br /> if the wearer experiences breakthrough, resistance or <br /> uncomfortable warm inhaled air, or if the <br /> respirator/cartridges become wet or grossly contaminated. <br /> Dispo- able protective ites may be reused during the work <br /> shift,;provided they are not damaged or obviously <br /> contaminated. Disposable items shall be disposed of daily. <br /> - Reusu;. able protective items shall be cleaned and inspected <br /> daily. <br />
