v r <br /> MAJESTIC TECH <br /> PERSONAL PROTECTION AND SAFETY <br /> 11. 1 SAFE WORK PRACTICES <br /> The following safe work practices shall apply to this project: <br /> Eating, drinking, use of gum or tobacco products, or the <br /> applying of comeztics shall onlybe allowed in designated <br /> areas in the Support Zone. <br /> Smoking and any other sources of ignition Shall be <br /> Prohibited within 50 feet of any work area and sources of <br /> flammable/combustible chemicals. <br /> Personnel shal wash their hands, face, and any exposed skin <br /> when completeing decontaimination. before eating, drinking, <br /> or using tobacco products , and at the end of each shift . <br /> Personnel shall participate In Tailgate Safety Meetings . <br /> Personnel shall continually observe their work location and <br /> be alert to changes in the environment that may affect <br /> Safety. <br /> Personnel shall plan and prioritize their tasks prior to <br /> donning protective clothing and entering a designated <br /> exclu+;ion zone. <br /> Personnel shall only enter regulated work areas when <br /> instructed by the Field Supervisor, and shall only enter <br /> through designated control points. <br /> Personnel shall exit regulated work areas through the <br /> decon3:•amination station, and shall follow the <br /> deccn3:-amination procedures . <br /> Personnel shall act to avoid direct contact with <br /> contamination by not purposefully walking, touching, or <br /> contacting any obviously contaminated surfaces . Instruments <br /> and t-;,ols shall not be placed directly on the ground. <br /> Personnel Shall report any accident , near miss, or unusual <br /> situa;:ion to the Safety and Health Officer and/or Field <br /> Supervisor immediately. <br /> Personnel shall use the personal protective epuipment <br /> Provided and as instructed by the Field Supervisor. <br /> Personnel shall not wear or carry personal items ( i. e. , <br /> Jewelry, watches, gum: tobacco products. etc. ) into <br /> regulated work areas . <br />
