Soil samples will be taken by De6�Tech, 10624 Olive Ave, <br />Oakdale, CA 95361, phone (209) 847-8757. Soil samples will <br />be excavated. Using back hoe, samples will be taken two (2) <br />feet to four (4) feet. By hand using brass tubes, all AB -one <br />procedures will be according to code. Any project not <br />backfilled, shall be fenced by owners. Note: Owners, of M C <br />Liquors are responsible for the backfilling of the empty <br />hole. Paydirt Excavating Co. Inc. has advised the owners <br />that the fill must clean. Paydirt Excavating Co. Inc. will <br />use proper equipment for each tank removal. No undersized <br />equipment will be used. All heavy equipment will be <br />supported properly. Tanks are to be secured at the assigned <br />location after extraction. <br />Paydirt Excavating Co. Inc. will provide safety hats, <br />goggles, and clothing to employees at the job site as per <br />OSHA Regulation 29 CFR 1910, 120. Caution will be noted that <br />a heat stress situation may develop when impermeable <br />protective clothing is worn. Paydirt Excavating Co. Inc. <br />will hold shop meetings before start of tank removals, to <br />discuss safety procedures. The "buddy" system will be <br />discussed and the course of action to be taken should any <br />injury occur to an employee. Some of many rules to be <br />discussed to help prevent injury or accident are: <br />1. Avoid standing on top of the tank surface. It may be <br />slippery or rusty. <br />2. Check for falling objects, slip, and tripping hazards <br />daily. <br />3. Plastic tarp sheeting will be used if necessary around <br />excavated soil. <br />4. Where necessary, the site will be secured and warning <br />signs up. <br />5. Limit exposure time to noisy equipment. <br />6. Keep a safe distance from excavation and heavy equipment. <br />7. Stay upwind from tank and excavation. <br />8. Avoid tank area or special precaution when venting with <br />water or with air.Paydirt Excavating Co. Inc. will <br />provide hospital route map. <br />
