The removal process is as follows: <br /> * The County Public Works Department will Notify County <br /> Public Health Services 48 hours prior to the scheduled <br /> removal date. <br /> * <br /> County Public Works Department personnel will remove the <br /> pfrom the top of the tank and purge it with Dry Ice <br /> t a rate of 15 lbs per 1000 galoon tank capacity <br /> (5X15=75 lbs minimum) . The dry ice will be placed in the <br /> tank several hours before it is removed from the ground. <br /> * The tank, after purging, will be removed from the ground <br /> by County personnel and placed directly on a transport <br /> for removal from the landfill. <br /> * California Water Laboratory of Modesto, Ca. will perform <br /> the soil testing required, as specified in the removal <br /> application. Cal Water Labs will perform their testing <br /> s soon as the tank is removed. <br /> */rickson, Inc, a State Licensed Hazardous Waste <br /> */ <br /> materials hauler, will transport the tank to their yard <br /> in Richmond, California for recycling. The Richmond <br /> Facility is a State permitted tank processing facility. <br /> Erickson, Incorporated will be responsible to return the <br /> Underground Tank Disposition Tracking record sheet to the <br /> The San Joaquin County Public Health Services office. <br /> * After the Laboratory testing results have been released <br /> to Public Health Services and the results verified as <br /> non-hazardous, the tank excavation will be filled in. <br /> At this point the removal process will be completed and the permit <br /> requirements will have been completed. <br />
