The Contractor shall provide the State with an approved copy of the tank <br />removal application as submitted to the local jurisdiction. <br />7. The Contractor shall also provide the State with a receipt from the firm <br />receiving the tank verifying that the tank has reached its destination <br />in compliance with the tank removal application. <br />8. a. Contractor shall remove, transport and dispose of the underground tank <br />in accordance with all federal, state and local regulations applicable <br />to this project. <br />b. The Contractor shall coordinate all its work with the field representative, <br />Bob Krump (209) 835-4141, and the Project Manager, Michael Werner <br />at (916) 322-6426. <br />c. Contractor shall notify --the appropriate local agency at least 48 hours <br />prior to initiating any work at this facility. <br />d. The Contractor shall comply with all security and other pertinent <br />regulations enforced at the facility. <br />e. Contractor shall obtain plans of the existing underground storage tank <br />if available from the field representative and make open excavations as <br />required to remove the underground storage tank. <br />f. Contractor shall verify all existing utility services in the immediate <br />area prior to the work, and shall be responsible for any damages to these <br />services. <br />g. Contractor shall sawcut, excavate, remove, and dispose offsite the pavement <br />and/or concrete situated above the underground tank prior to the excavation <br />to remove the underground tank. This requirement may be waived by the <br />project manager depending on the conditions of the existing surface. <br />h. The Contractor shall provide a safety plan when the excavation is over <br />5 feet, 0 inches deep. <br />1. All work, including equipment, materials and installation shall conform <br />to California Administrative Code, Title 24, Building Standards <br />(CAC Title 24) and to California Administrative Code, Title 8, Chapter 4, <br />Division of Industrial Safety (DIS). <br />j. The Contractor shall backfill the tank cavity to 90 percent compaction. <br />
