Electrical Safety <br /> Work areas shall be checked for the presence of high voltage and other hazardous <br /> electricity sources. Sources shall be labelled and work areas provided with <br /> shielding or located at sufficient distance from the sources to prevent contact or <br /> arcing to personnel or equipment. <br /> Locate and ensure there will be no adverse contact with overhead utilities, prior to <br /> positioning or moving any elevated work platform or rig superstructure. <br /> Fhien high voltage electrical service is required for site or project activities, <br /> service shall be connected by certified electricians in accordance with all <br /> applicable local and National Electric Codes. <br /> Ground Fault Circuit Internu7ters shall be used in the absence of properly grounded <br /> circuitry or when portable tools must be used around wet areas. <br /> Electric lines, cables and extension cords mist be appropriately guarded and <br /> maintained in good condition. <br /> No work will be done on electric lines or electrically activated eguim ent. until the <br /> verification that service has been de-energized and/or the system has been locked arxd <br /> tagged out and each worker doing the work has sole possession of a key to a lock on <br /> the lock-out hasp. <br />
