No such plan shall allow the use of shoring, .sloping or <br /> protective system less effective than that required by the Construction Safety <br /> Orders of the Division of Occupational Safety and, Health and if such plan- <br /> varies from the shoring system standards established. by the Construction Safety <br /> Orders, the. plan shall be prepared and signed by an engineer who is. registered, <br /> as- a� Civil or Structural Engineer in the State of California. <br /> MEASUREMENT AND PAYMENT (ADDITIONAL WORK) <br /> The, Contractor and- Contract Administrator shall measure- in- cubic yards the <br /> following: <br /> 1. The area of hole- left by the tank removal . <br /> 2. The entire, area of the hole after the additional excavation as a <br /> result of removing contaminated waste material . <br /> Backfill and compact theentire excavated area in accordance with Section <br /> 10.06: of the- General Specifications.. <br /> PAYMENT: Payment for- the-- additional excavation, any. shoring,_ and. backfill <br /> shall- be, contract price per cubic yard for- backfill measured in place. It. <br /> shall be determined: by deducting- the area of hole= left by the tank removal from <br /> the. entire area of the hole after the additional excavation. <br /> The area- of hole left by. the tank. removal shall be included in the price <br /> paid for final cleanup. <br /> The contractprice paid per cubic yard for backfill in place shall consist <br /> of furnishing all labor, tools, equipment, materials, incidentals and for doing <br /> all work- necessary to excavate, remove and- properly dispose of all contaminated <br /> material , provide necessary shoring, backfill and compact the- excavated area as <br /> specified- in these special provisions. No additional compensation will be <br /> allowed therefrom. <br /> Payment for providing- follow-up water- and soils samples including the <br /> follow-up evaluation report will be- contract price per sample. <br /> The contract price per sample shall consist of furnishing all labor, <br /> tools, equ'foment, materials and incidentals for doing all work to collect and <br /> analyze all, follow-up samples as requested by the State. The follow-up <br /> evaluationvx;eport shall be included in the- price paid for collection and <br /> analysis of the follow-up samples. <br /> BURNING: Material to be disposed of shall not be burned unless the <br /> Contractor has obtained a permit to burn combustible material resulting from <br /> _- _c_1earAffg_a"r�d� grubbing operations from an air pollution control officer of the <br /> local or regional authority. A copy of the permit shall be filed with the <br /> Contract Administrator before any burning. All such burning shall be conducted <br /> in strict. conformance with the provisions stipulated in said permit. <br />
