0 • <br />�Omalnment Sumps <br />Containment sumps are a very important part of the <br />GaoF/BX Piping System. They provide a means of <br />containment for all GeoFlex Piping connections. <br />Containment sumps are available for mounting to <br />the underground storage tanks, underneath the <br />above ground Product dispensers, as well as for in- <br />line piping connections between tanks and <br />dispensers. There are a variety of containment <br />SUMPS which may be used for most applications. <br />The illustration to the right shows the general <br />locations of these containment sumps. <br />In -Line Piping <br />Sump <br />Tank Sumps Dispenser Sumps <br />F <br />apeclrying Tank Sumps <br />Environ offers a variety of tank sump models which <br />are sized to accommodate all GeoFlex Piping <br />installation requirements. Tank Sumps are installed <br />to the top of an underground storage tank and they <br />extend from the top of the tank to just below the <br />street manhole cover. These sumps provide a <br />means of secondary containment and surface <br />access to the tank, as well as Performing as a <br />collection sump for the GeoFlex Piping. <br />Refer to the Tank Sump Product Manual for <br />installation and sizing information on these sumps. <br />Pressure Piping Applications <br />Tank Sumps are installed to the tank and would <br />Primarily contain the tank's submersible pump <br />and other associated fittings. Here the GeoFlex <br />Piping connections to the pump would be <br />contained as illustrated. <br />Shallow Burial Standard Burial <br />Suction Piping Applications <br />Tank Sumps are installed to the tank and contain <br />the tank's instrumentation and other associated <br />fittings. Here the GeoFlex Piping connections <br />are contained as illustrated. <br />jig <br />Deep Burial Extended Burial <br />Installation Requirements <br />Refer to the Tank Sump Manual for the <br />installation instructions for the proper mounting of <br />the Tank Sump to the top of the underground <br />storage tank.
