Management will ensure that each employee is thoroughly familiar with the building, all exits and safety equipment. Employees are informed of emergency response evacuation procedures when hired. They are given emergency response training. The station manager will be responsible for evacuating the premises in an emergency. They will call 911 for emergency response. Employees will exit the cashier 's booth door and walk in a safe direction. d. Shut-down: Describe the shut-down procedures for each site or facility. i. Close all necessary valves ii. Shut off all pertaining electric switches and breakers iii. Install necessary signs to exlain the shut-down iv. Install caution tape or lites to barracade the facility e. Response Describe what is done to lessen or mitigate the harm or damage to person(s), property, or the environment, and prevent event from getting worse or spreading. What is your immediate response to: i. Fire: Immediate use of dry chemical extinguishers and call 911 ii. Explosion: First determine extent of damage and proceed with emergency response procedures for fire, spills and medical response - Call 911. iii. Spill: Use a commercial product called Zeppabsorb to control spill - call 911. iv. Severe Ground Motion: Wait till ground stops moving, check to see extent of damage. If damage has or-cured call emergency response team - call 911. V. Major Power Failure: W1 flashlight assess damage. If major, wait till lights come back on. Check for damage. If problems call emergency response team. vi. Flood: Call 911 to assess amount of damage to area then see if all people can be transported to high ground and call response team. (1) Is this facility located on a 100 year flood plan9 yes_ no x vii. Ground Motion: Identify facility areas and list mechanical or other-system ss that require immediate inspection or isolation because of their vulnerability to earthquake related ground motion.
