If safe to do so,facility personnel will take immediate measures to control or stop any relesso(c.g.,activate pump shut-off,etc.)arid,if necessary,safely remove remaining hazardous material from the UST system D Any release to secondary containment will be pumped or otherwise removed within a i mr consistent with the ability of the secondary containment system W contain the ha aMous material,but not greater than 30 calendar days,or smur if required by the local agency. Rcwvcmd hamedous materials,unless still suitable for their intended use,will be managed as hazardous waste. Absorbent material will be used to contain and clean up manageable spills of hazardous materials. Absorbont mate reel which has became loo saturated to be effective or which is no longer intended for use will be managed as hazardous waste unless a waste determination in Recordanec with 22 CCR§66262.11 finds that it is wo-hamrdow. Hazardous material,other than the productfwasro stored in the primary containment system,is placed'inside secondary containment to trust or neutralize released product/waste,and the added material or resulting material from such a combination is not compatible with secondary containment III. SPILL CONTROL AND CLEAN-UP EQUIPMENT PERIODIC MAINTENANCE:Spill control and clean-up equipment kept pmmenently on-stte is listed in the futility's Hecardous Materials Business Plan. This equipment is inspected at least monthly,and after each use,supplies are replenished as neodod. DOlIctive equipment is repaired or replaced as necessary.
