Marubashi 209-,67-5964 p. 4 <br /> Release Recording & Reporting: Article 5 of the California Underground Storage Tank <br /> Regulations. <br /> Recordable Releases that must be documented on a UST monitoring report, include the <br /> following: <br /> Any release from a primary containment which is cleaned up within 8 hours after the release <br /> was detected, which does not escape the secondary containment and does not increase the <br /> hazard of fire or explosion and does not cause deterioration of the secondary containment. <br /> Note: the monitoring report shall include information required by section 2651 of the <br /> California UST regulations. <br /> Reportable Releases that must be reported to the local agency within 24 hours after the release <br /> has been detected or should have been detected include the following: <br /> Any unauthorized release from the primary containment which is not cleaned up within 8 hours <br /> after the release was detected, which does not escape the secondary containment and does not <br /> increase the hazard of fire or explosion and does not cause deterioration of the secondary <br /> containment. <br /> Any unauthorized release, which escapes from the secondary containment or from the primary <br /> containment, if no secondary containment exists. <br /> Discovery of release product at the site of the UST or surrounding area including the presence <br /> of free product, vapors in soil, basements, sewer or utility lines, and nearby surface or drinking <br /> waters. <br /> Monitoring results from a release detection method that indicate a release may have occurred <br /> unless the monitoring device is immediately repaired, re-calibrated or replaced, or additional <br /> monitoring does not confirm the initial results. <br /> Any unauthorized release, spill or overfill that occurs while the fuel is being placed in the <br /> underground tank.
