A discussion of our field
activities, observations, analytical results and conclusions are summarized below.
BACKGROUND
During construction activities at Delta College in the vicinity of a proposed Microscopy
Technology Center an underground storage tank (UST) was uncovered on site. Banks &
Company subsequently was contracted by Delta College to remove the underground storage
tank. Banks & Company retained Kleinfelder to conduct soil sampling and reporting related to
removal of the UST. A Professional Services Agreement, 20-YP1-770 dated November 6, 2001
between Banks & Company and Kleinfelder was signed prior to Kleinfelder's conducting our
field activities.
FIELD ACTIVITIES
Mr. Doug Heard, Project Geologist for Kleinfelder visited the site on November 7, 2001 to
collect soil samples beneath the former UST and from excavated and stockpiled soil. The soil
samples were analyzed for potential fuel constituents. The UST was located beneath the
proposed Microscopy Technology Center and south of the Holt Building at Delta College,
Stockton California.
20-0232-01/2011 RIS]4 Page I of 6
®2001,Kleinfelder,Inc.
