Violation of these rules, regulations and practices <br /> mat result in you dismissal . <br /> In addition to these rules and the program outlined here-in employees are <br /> also governed by the rules, orders and standards issued by state and federal <br /> authorities having jurisdiction over occupational safety and health. <br /> ' Applicable safety orders and publications currently in use and of which the <br /> rules and regulations of Banks & Co. have been derived in whole or part are from: <br /> ' California Occupational Safety and Health Regulations, Title 8. <br /> (Cal-OSHA) <br /> California Administrative Code, Title 8 - Industrial Relations <br /> California Labor Code <br /> California Department of Transportation <br /> Manual of Warning Signs, Lights and Devices for use in Performance of <br /> Work Upon Highways <br /> Department of Motor Vehicles, California Motor Vehicle Code <br /> ' ACCIDENT PREVENTION <br /> Most accidents and caused by: <br /> ' i . Ignorance of safe work practices. <br /> 2. Being unaware of a potential hazard. <br /> 3. Poor planning or execution of the task. <br /> ' 4. Daydreaming. <br /> Most accidents, outside of an act of God, can be avoided by avoiding the above <br /> attitudes naturally, but also by expecting the unexpected. In our industry of <br /> underground construction you must always bare on thing in mind, you are dealing <br /> with Mother Nature RESPECT HER! <br /> ' A. Use Care, caution and good sense when performing all your work. Handle, <br /> transport and store things properly. <br /> B.
