Ignorance of safe work practices. <br /> B. Being unaware of a potential hazard. <br /> C. Poor planning or execution of the task. <br /> D. Daydreaming. <br /> Most accidents, outside of an act of God, can be avoided by avoiding the <br /> ' above attitudes naturally, but also by expecting the unexpected. In our industry <br /> of underground construction you must always bare on thing in mind, you are <br /> dealing with Mother Nature RESPECT HER! <br /> ' 1 . Use Care, caution and good sense when performing all your work. <br /> Handle, transport and store things properly. <br /> 2. Keep the work area as neat and orderly as is possible. <br /> 3. Let your supervisor and fellow workers be aware of a potential or <br /> ' existing hazard. Correct the problem as feasible as is possible. <br /> 4. Do not handle tools or materials in which you are not familiar with <br /> ' until you receive proper instruction from an authorized or ex- <br /> perienced employee. <br /> ' 5. Horseplay causes accidents, HORSE AROUND LOSE YOUR JOB! <br /> 6. Don't stand or walk around moving equipment. <br /> ' 7. BE ALERT AND AWAKE! <br /> 11 .3 REPORTING ACCIDENTS <br /> In the event you or a fellow employee has an accident, report it to your <br /> supervisor or the office immediately. No matter how small the accident may seem, <br /> PLEASE REPORT IT.
