Be sure every employee has read and understands the code of safe <br /> operations and is familiar with the contents of this safety program. <br /> 1 <br /> 10 SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE EMPLOYEES <br /> The employee should be primarily concerned with his or her own safety and <br /> secondly with the safety of other employees and bystander (or other things) <br /> Iaround them. To insure on the job safety: <br /> A. Know your job, use safe work practices and if you are unsure of any <br /> situation ASK your supervisor for directions. Better to be SAFE than <br /> ' sorry. <br /> B. Understand the goal of each new task you undertake. Ignorance of the job <br /> Iat hand can prove fatal . <br /> C. Be alert to changes in conditions which may affect your or someone else's <br /> Isafety. <br /> D.. Inform you supervisor and others around you of a potential hazard, then <br /> take the necessary actions to correct the problem. <br /> E. Observe the work of others so that you may obtain a general idea of their <br /> job in relationship to your own. This will help you develop an understan- <br /> ding and awareness for all concerned and help prevent accidents. <br /> F. Participate in safe practices. This isn't just for the employer but for <br /> Ieveryone attention and benefit. <br /> 11 GENERAL SAFETY RULES <br /> i11 . 1 INTRODUCTION <br /> The following rules, regulations and practices are established in the <br /> interest of safety and the prevention of injury and accidents. <br /> It is not only the required responsibility of supervisors but of all <br /> 1 employees to adhere to these outlined rules and insure their compliance. <br /> Your employment by Banks & Co. is contingent upon your acceptance and <br /> I adherence to these rules.
